connection, not crisis.
Choose Brave: Bridging the Gap is an annual outdoor gathering designed to bring families, young people, and the wider Charleston community together in a spirit of hope and human connection. A real, warm, joyful day where people can breathe, reconnect, and find resources and support that are always there — just sometimes hard to find.
Donations can be made on the day — every dollar goes directly to funding BRAVE’s programs and keeping all future events accessible to everyone.
This is for anyone who wants to feel less alone in raising young people. You don’t need to be in difficulty. You just need to show up.
Each zone offers something real — rest, movement, information, creativity, or just a place to be.
Guided sessions for all ages and abilities. Breathe, stretch, and come back to yourself. No experience required.
Local wellness professionals offering short sessions. Reiki, breathwork, energy work, and more — from people who genuinely care.
Live acoustic music throughout the day. Local artists, real warmth. The kind that makes you want to stay a while.
Creative activities and play designed for children. Young people can just be kids while parents connect nearby.
Local mental health organizations and family support services — all in one place, easy to find, with real people to talk to.
No registration required to attend. But if you’d like to let us know you’re coming, RSVP below. It takes 30 seconds.
